HealthRight International is a global health and human rights organization working to build lasting access to health for excluded communities.
 
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Program Intern will support HealthRight’s Kenya, Nepal, Russia and Newly Independent States (NIS) programs, which focus on maternal, child and neonatal health; HIV; malaria; homelessness; substance abuse; and adolescent health.  Under the supervision and guidance of the program management team, the Intern’s responsibilities will include the following:
·         Review and edit grant reports and proposals.
·         Conduct research and compile news items related to the region
·         Prepare reports of current events and security issues to share with program staff.
·         Draft agendas and take notes at meetings to share with relevant staff.
·         Take documents, such as visa applications, to the appropriate agencies, when necessary.
·         Maintain and organize program event calendars.
·         Provide other program and administrative support as requested by the program team.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
·         Must be enrolled in a graduate program or have completed a graduate degree 
·         Very strong writing skills
·         Detail oriented
·         Strong organizational skills
·         Self-motivated and able to work independently
·         Ability to meet deadlines reliably            
·         Proficient in Microsoft Office
 
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
·         Russian language skills
