Photos: Secretary Clinton Visits HealthRight in Vietnam!

On July 22, 2010, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton visited HealthRight's Smile of the Sun Center in Hanoi for the signing of the U.S. - Vietnam Partnership Framework - a five year strategy to combat HIV in Vietnam. Below are highlights from the visit.

A young boy orphaned by HIV presents Secretary Clinton with a drawing he made at the Smile of the Sun Center. Hundreds of children access comprehensive care and support at two Centers in Hanoi.

 

Secretary Clinton stops to greet children and foster care givers at the Smile of the Sun Center. In addition to its efforts to build access to care for families affected by HIV, HealthRight is working with local partners to develop a system to provide a family-like alternative to institutionalization for children orphaned by the HIV epidemic.

 

Secretary Clinton listens as a home-based care worker from one of HealthRight's key partners in Vietnam - the Ban Mai Self Help Group for people living with HIV - explains how HealthRight and its partners are impacting the lives of people living with HIV in Vietnam.
