In Kenya, one in every 19 children dies before their first birthday and malaria is the leading cause of infant deaths.  In 2009, HealthRight launched the Partnership for the Prevention and Treatment of Malaria (PPTM), funded by USAID's President's Malaria Initiative, to bring life-saving information and services to people in Kenya's North Rift Valley.
