After baby Sasha is weighed, her mother will receive important information regarding malaria prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment, and take home a free long-lasting, insecticide-treated net (LLITN).  HealthRight's approach of integrating malaria messages into routine pre- and postnatal care is a critical strategy in promoting the overall health of mom and baby.  As services like these become increasingly available, HealthRight expects to see a dramatic decline in maternal and neonatal mortality from malaria, as well as a range of other causes.
