March 14, 2009; 8:30 am - 1:00 pm Training for licensed physicians and mental health professionals interested in evaluating torture survivors seeking asylum in the United States. The training will provide volunteers with an understanding of the asylum process in the United States, prepare them to evaluate the effects of torture on survivors, and address the importance of writing effective affidavits.
