The impact of our work is only sustainable when our projects move from the individual and community level to the system and policy level.

HealthRight uses advocacy to effect policy changes at the local and national level that lead to improvements in quality of and access to health care. We work proactively to build financial and moral commitment and policies within health systems so that governments and local actors provide care that respects the rights and meet the needs of excluded communities. This means working with communities to identify gaps in resource allocation and push governments and providers to address them; to advocate for policy improvements by governments to respect, protect and fulfill the right to health; and to help to overcome disparities between existing policies on paper and the reality for people living on society’s margins.
