By placing local partnerships at the center of our projects, we are able to better address the specific needs of the communities where we work and to build the capacity of local actors – health workers, physicians, and other community members – to serve their own communities.
Replicable models. Collaboration with local partners and the organization of projects around existing cultures creates effective models that can be reproduced at the regional and national levels. HealthRight International programs not only provide direct health services but also develop systems, protocols, and tools, ensuring that local actors have the resources and knowledge necessary to sustain, expand and replicate projects far into the future. HealthRight’s dedication to working in partnership with local communities ensures that its solutions to health and human rights issues are lasting and far-reaching.
A ripple effect. HealthRight’s influence increases exponentially as the partners it has trained disseminate skills, information, and care across communities and regions. In Kenya, dozens of HealthRight-trained health workers will treat thousands of tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS patients in coming years. The three Womens Wellness Centers that HealthRight established in Kosovo will serve tens of thousands of women annually under the administration of the Ministry of Health. The health workers that HealthRight has trained around the world will apply their skills to ensuring the health and human rights of their communities for years to come.
